I ran the Jabulani 45km today, took spot on 7 hours and had no issues at all during the run with my fuel or energy levels – so this is a huge thank you to you. My stomach never churned or bloated – I was so happy.

My energy levels never dropped – I got tired but felt pretty strong the whole way. This was a game changer so I cannot thank you enough for this!

UTA 100km Fuel Plans

Marinda  – 100km 

I just want to say thank you so much for the nutrition plan for the UTA 100km.

It worked so well and I know that I managed to get to the finish line because my nutrition was so well planned.

Everything worked out so well. The water bottles in the drop bag was such a great idea, I felt so organised and on top of my nutrition throughout. I stuck to it religiously until 90km and then I switched to coke and the chips in the last drop bag was awesome!

Sarah – 100km 

Just wanted to say a huge thank you for all your help with my race nutrition for the UTA 100km. Everything went so well, I felt full of energy the whole way through the race, no issues at all with food and fluids. It was smooth sailing and I am so grateful for that!

The first 50km went nice and fast, around 7 hours.  Overall it was an amazing day and I  came away feeling so proud and elated! Thank you for your help, made the world of difference following a plan 😊

I wanted to give you an update on how the race went last weekend.I finished………The nutrition strategy that you had planned for me worked to perfection. My energy levels never faltered, no cramps.

The best comment came from Therese at the end when she said that she had never seen me finish a race in such good condition. I want to say a massive thank you for helping me through this.

Successful Comrades 90kms

Howard  – Customised Race Day Plan 

I completed the Comrades on 28th Aug under my target time of 10h30m!!! Race went well and I finished the 90km’s feeling relatively good, the nutrition plan worked well so thanks for that, I saw loads of people along the route that were really battling and I suspect the nutrition plan (or lack there-of!) was a part of that.

Starting to think about the next event may be!!!

Chester :  Thanks for all your help Tam, I had the best day out and felt strong all day thanks to your advice on training and weight loss. My fuelling and hydration on the day was perfect, the extra sodium definitely helped as I didn’t get a cramp all day.

Andrew : UTA 100km

I came in at 14.30 , I’m stoked. I ate everything as well – stuck to the plan and I credit some of the gains at the end with that extra energy. I felt like at the start I was the only one eating, and eating ALOT … but I moved from 800th to 240th as the day went on so it worked ! Thanks so much.

Simon: UTA 100km

The 100 went well and in large because of your help throughout. It was a tough day out but with all the fuel and hydration working the rest just fell into place. Seriously, thankyou as I wouldn’t have got through it otherwise.

Paul: UTA 100km

It was a tough day and conditions were tricky. The nutrition plan you made me worked a treat and my nutrition/hydration was probably the smoothest thing all day. I’ve learned alot completing my first Ultra and look forward to chasing down a silver buckle in the future.

 

I just wanted to let you know that I survived my 100km at surf coast century! I came in at 12hrs and 21 minutes in the end which I was very happy with considering we had such bad weather. My nutrition went to plan right up until 90km then I was just to cold to take in anymore and just got it finished. So thank you so much for all you’re advice and guidance to get me to the start, my stress reaction in my foot held up well and hasn’t gotten worse which I’m thankful for. Also a big thanks for my race plan – it worked great and I felt good for the entire race! Sarah

Multi Day Race

Wow was it epic! Thank goodness we packed all that extra food – I needed it because I was out there for 10-13 hours on the first 2 days. Day 3 I was pretty quick. The LONG day was well….long…and it rained all day. The final day I ran the 15km to the end, and my husband was there (plus my Dad and brother as a surprise). The jar of peanut butter was a hit with my tent mates and was a great snack when I was too tired to rummage for anything else in my pack.

I think the nutrition side worked really really well. At gear check, they laughed coz I had so much food and they (almost) convinced me to take some out. But ended up pretty much on target.

Thank you so much for your help and tips along the way. Seriously made the whole crazy thing manageable. Those chemist grade jelly beans were a GOD SEND after 15 hours in the pouring rain. Could barely get them out with freezing hands and wet gloves on. And had them as “dinner” in my sleeping bag when I made it in to camp.

I loved, loved, loved the day. My family were the best, weather was stunning, trails were dry, no rolled ankles or falls. I had ZERO sleep (literally did not close my eyes) but body went into adrenaline mode so it was fine. Nutrition was good and I had energy.   I cannot look at a peanut butter & jam sandwich ever again and I’m packing away all nutrition so I can’t see it.  Feet are not good, but rest of body feels great! I can’t thank you enough. It was the best day ever and without you I would have no clue what to eat, when to eat and how to do it practically. Karin
